It sucks to miss family events because of sickness
We had a daughter sick with RSV and walking pneumonia at Thanksgiving and for Christmas we had kids and my wife sick with COVID and pneumonia. We missed the holidays with family this year because of illness. I don't regret the decision we made to stay away but it was a gut punch for my kids. They love being around the family.
