Belboz Intervention Needed
but seriously, I had an interesting interaction with my father-in-law last week
My wife hosted her parents' family's annual Sinterklaas party. It was a few weeks later than usual, but we're busy people.

Anyway, I was talking to my father-in-law and mother-in-law in my kitchen in front of a counter full of various types of treats when my father-in-law mentioned that the two of them planned to severely alter their diet in 2025 in an attempt to shed weight and improve health. I asked why they chose to push a start date into the future. "Why not start immediately," I asked.

He asked, with a smile, how he could possibly start right then while sitting in front of a table full of treats?
As thoughts swirled, my wife answered for me with "Actually, [Belboz] does well with that and rarely eats that stuff."

Curbing what is eaten doesn't require fancy equipment or a gym membership. It's something a person can do regardless of where he is, so I'm always puzzled when I hear people plan to make that change in the future, but can't do it in the moment.
The reality is that it's something that needs to be done in the moment over and over and over again.
