This is unfortunately the correct answer. At times we were indeed the best team
in the Big12, with the Alamo Bowl being one of those times. Unfortunately, we were not the best team in the Big12 when we played Kansas at home and when we started the ASU game in a 21-0 hole. (Also in 1 or 2 of our wins)
