Talks about 30 year olds not hitting or accomplishing traditional adult milestones and experts believe that it's becoming a trend of no longer likely to hit these milestones instead of people just lagging behind slightly.
The point that stuck out to me the most was the following:
"Atleast part of what's stunting the growth of a generation of young people are outsized dreams of what a good life looks like.
Our expectations are so much higher today...Generations before us didnt expect to have large houses where every kid had a bedroom and there were multiple vacations a year"
My observation, although not applicable to the whole population, but what seems common, is that we are living in the most prosperous of times, people are not prioritizing important decisions in life. They are choosing to "eat drink and be merry" but after doing this for ~20 or so years and now reaching late 30's and early 40's they now cry out as if they've been robbed. Often possibly failing to realize they made decisions that set the trajectory they are on.
Again not all encompassing, and this is a straightforward and simple observation that can't quite take in all possible influencing factors, but I do think it's a common issue. And I feel the article did a decent job highlighting this point.
