For the conferences getting homes games are better it means more wins. For the
Individual team trying to win a championship a bye is better, but these decisions are made by the conferences not individual teams. Big 10 is going to benefit way more with PSU being 2-0 than they would sending a team to Boise for the first round. Big 10 is never agreeing to a format where that would happen.
