1- When BYU was wandering in the wilderness of independence, it was a “quality” game BYU could count on. I appreciated looking forward to that game. There were many awful teams scheduled those years. Some quality P5 teams, and BYU got big-timed by ND. I have good memories of those games (except the losses 🙂
2- I respect what Boise built. They had no financial, geographic or historical advantage. They used leftovers from bigger programs (and kids who flunked out of better schools) and got rolling. BYU is a team that has lived in the “do more with less”. Boise did “even more with even less” than BYU.
3- they’re going to get DRILLED in their CFP game. That will be fun. I like to watch them play, but I don’t root for them to win.
