It’s no offense to the university itself, I’ve never attended and won’t speak for the difficulty of their undergrad program. I know some people who have plenty good jobs in the local Utah market.
But I also know people personally who have had to get essentially minimum wage jobs coming out of a degree with the U because they had literally no other option.
I’m sure it happens with BYU grads too, but it just seems to me that BYU’s reputation and the BYU network nationally helps a lot. BYU seems to also bring in pretty smart kids. If someone from the U wants to work outside the state of Utah, the network just isn’t there and that impacts long term financial outcomes.
