To be clear, I’m not saying he can’t. But it’ll be interesting to see what happens in the playoffs and next year. Teams (especially his division) will have a full offseason to scout him and gameplan against him. Teams will know what his weaknesses are and how to play against him.
There’s no doubt he’s been fantastic this year. But can he maintain it? That’s the big questions. Lots of QBs have great individual seasons. But what makes top 5 guys, top 5 guys, is that they have done it again and again and again. I dont really have an opinion as to whether he will or will not continue, but I think it’s too early to say he’s top 5.
Next year will be really interesting for Stroud for the same reasons. He had a great rookie year, teams figured out how to bother him, and now we get to see how good he is.
