Schollys strongly correlate with PT and value to the program.
If a handful of younger safeties all have a scholarship and you're not getting one, you assume that has implications for the future.
No question that NIL alone can do a lot more than a scholarship used to do. But, it's still a currency of sorts within every program that designates the value of each player.
