I've never seen a defensive philosophy that embraced not attempting to make
a play. It was based on waiting for the other team to make 3 mistakes in a row and prevent them from making a huge chunk play.

If you looked at Tuiaki's schemes, it went a whole lot farther than learning the 3-4 defense.

Yup. Told it was about an 8th grade defensive scheme. At least less complex

It wasn't really a 3-4 defense. It was a 3-0-8. The LBs were always put into
