performance against lousy competition—despite pulling out a much-too-close win in the end—instead of showing up in droves at the airport to celebrate. perhaps the team would have forgotten about the Utah win quicker and put more focus into prep for Kansas and beat Kansas. After further review, I put the blame on the fans for the missed CFP opportunity this year.

Every team in the country that isn’t undefeated and doesn’t win the NC will have their ‘what if’ or ‘only if’ moments to reflect on. I love that BYU ended on a high note with the bowl win. This bowl game had the best ‘I care about it’ feel to it since the Vegas Bowl games early in Bronco’s tenure. A big part of that is due to Deion and CO making such a big deal about them caring about it too.
