That’s an average margin of defeat of 28 points. They made the Alamo Bowl one other time in 2002 and lost a heartbreaker in OT against Wisconsin.

Imagine being one of those Buffs fans who has been clamoring for your first bowl win since 2004, had come to San Antonio multiple times and seen your team lose in highly disappointing fashion, get swept up in all the Deion and Heisman hype thinking that you’ll finally see your team win in the Alamo Dome (as the favorite), then you get a good old fashion butt whoopin while your explosive offense gets held to 2 rushing yards and, outside of 2 or 3 plays, gets completely shut down.

Frankly I’m surprised there weren’t more ticked off drunk fans lashing out. Seemed like every Buffs fan I saw took it on the chin and was pretty calm about it. Has to really suck though. I hope they make and win a bowl game next year. The fans I interacted with were all really nice.
