So, BYU4eVeR’s point stands. That is an offensive line that was not ready to schematically or physically face what we have in the trenches. During the broadcast, they even discussed what the Colorado OL coach was saying to his players between series. It was that they “need to start winning their 1-on-1 matchups.”
The only true counterpoint is the fact that there were true freshman on that OL. Granted, by the bowl game they have an entire season under their belts, but it was still a significant experience gap.
We won the battle of the trenches pretty significantly. Their 1st Team All Big 12 DE only got mentioned when he was offsides. And he was going against our #3 RT.
