My quick rant about controlling own destiny and “just” needing to beat Kansas.
Just breaking down these statements from a logical standpoint.

Every team controls their own destiny from start to finish in any season. You either win or lose, week to week.

And BYU didn’t “just” need to beat Kansas. They needed to beat Kansas in addition to winning the previous games they’d already one. That’s a tough combination, because that’s needing to win 10 games.

The previous nine games prior to Kansas took work, wear and tear, injuries, stress, hype, distraction. Those are all real.

Of course we all wanted that one more win, but to say that’s all we needed is logically not true and misses the point of how difficult it is to keep winning across the span of a season.

Rant over, thanks for listening 🙏
