Indiana had no business being in the CFP. Indiana should have bee punished for playing a non conf. schedule of football juggernauts like FIU, Western Ill., and Charlotte. When you add the fact that they beat no one of value and got dismantled by the only good team they played, Indiana did not earn a playoff bid. They just are in the right conf.
Adding SMU as an at large is a slap in the face to a BYU team that went 10-2 in a much tougher conference and beat SMU on SMU's home field.
I agree that BYU should have beat Kansas and secured an invite on their own.
However, when the CFP Comm. gives at large bids to two teams with worse resumes than BYU, I'm going to call that out, and not put all of the blame on BYU not winning in two very tough games.
