Thanks for sharing that video. I’m a great respecter of Coach Prime. He is good for the game, good for his team, good for the Big 12, and obviously cares-a lot.
Life is made up of interesting contrasts, though.
Teams are built on those contrasts. Deion Sanders in his prime was extremely effective, super talented, and played up to those talents with commensurate swagger. He became the focal point of the game he was in as a shut down corner with tons of media savvy, sound bites, and bling.
The game needs that savvy.
But kind of like the contrast in personalities between my old team mates Marc Wilson and Jim McMahon, both were the best at their craft, but with different flair.
I’m grateful that we have Kalani who, like Deion, cares more than anything. He just downplays the hype and recognizes even the ball boy with hugs.
