emotions:
BYU competed at a high level in all three phases to deliver big wins over good teams (4-1 against the Sagarin top 30: Wins against #17 SMU, #23 Colorado, #25 Baylor, and #27 Kansas St.); a rivalry win in glorious, heartbreaking fashion, ripping Utefans' organs out of their underdeveloped chest cavities in the final seconds after they thought they had won, prompting a meltdown for the ages from Harlan (who should also seek professional help regulating his emotions); a blowout bowl game win over a ranked and popular team with two top draft picks (one of whom is a Heisman winner); FIVE(!) kick returns for TDs; multiple defensive scores, most INTs in the nation, a balanced offensive attack that could both throw AND run the ball; lots of players returning for 2025, etc etc etc., and all of this finishing 11-2 against the toughest schedule BYU has ever played, in only its second year of P4 football, and before we even have a full share of conference revenue.
