Attacks on one player who has laid it out for us this year, the most improved player on the team, may be our most important recruiting reframing of the honor code into an advantage, led the team to some amazing drives and wins.

I’ve been an executive and investor for years and I know a leader when I see one. Everyone has flaws but I like how Jake keeps learning and fighting and getting his guys up and going. Mechanics and decision making can be taught and I expect him to improve again next year. Remember Sark struggled year one coming out of JC then had a great senior year. Jake has had a successful junior year and I expect next year will be even better because of his grit and work and coachability.

Look he made a late throw over the middle against athletic dbs, and has made some other problematic decisions — against elite defenders! Best array of defenses byu has ever played and managed games ranging A- to C throughout the year. Go grade out other players and hone in on all their mistakes. Defense during the 2nd quarter of U, 1st half of Kansas and ASU games were flat footed, yet we aren’t railing them. We love them. I happen to love Jake and his potential to be even better. You don’t.

So, you and a few guys on here are so obsessed you can’t let it alone and keep drilling them. Other fans step up and defend the dudes who gave it their all this year to make a special season. Some of you like to think we are blind to weaknesses of a player which is just silly. Of course we see what you see. But we also see the progress and success and a team that loves and supports each other in the ups and downs.

But you and your cadre keep campaigning for a change in QB! Call it what it is: anti-Jake and anti-Arod. It’s ok to have those opinions and share them and expect others to have differing opinions.

Nevertheless… go cougars!
