I'm not talking about 50-50 odds. I'm talking about the money ends up half
on one side and half on the other. That way the betting company redistributes the funds, and keeps a slice of the pie.
Like, when a game opens with 7.5 point favorites but all the money goes to the favorites, they move it to eight, then 8.5, to get money on the other side of the bet.

No. Lots of bets aren’t near 50/50 odds. Even the ones that in theory are, like O/U and games against the spread
