BYU just had an 11-2 season (I know, I know, it could have been 13+-0). Yes, QB
made some critical mistakes in close losses, but, he alone, did not cost BYU those games. He also made some great plays to win close games that could have gone the other way. All in all, 11-2 is a great season and so far beyond preseason expectations that we all would have given up important body parts to achieve that. I know I did not see it coming.
Let's be excited and look forward to next year. If Retzlaff improves again as much as he did after 2023, it could be a fantastic season. BYU will not sneak up on anyone next year and expectations are not going to be low. Here's to handling the pressure and performing next year at least as well as this year. This year gets BYU in the playoff conversation if a similar season plays out next year. If BYU takes care of business, there won't even need to be a conversation.
