Each P4 conference will rank their own teams. Each P4 conference will send their conference champ and one at large team to the playoffs. The conf will determine who they want to send in the at large position.

The remaining four slots filled by G5 teams. 2:1 ratio of P4/G5 should be acceptable. Win your conference

Let the bowl games select the remaining teams in whatever fashion that bowl deems best for them. They can chose on some rotating order.

National rankings should be a thing of the past.
