I asked this last night in a jam-packed basement of generational BYU fanatics--I didn't get an answer.
What game(s) jump(s) out as a clearly better defensive performance from BYU?
It's not like we have not had defensive gems--we have many of them. But given the stage and opponent, what's been clearly better? Some great efforts of which I can think:
--OU at Jerry World
--K-State in the Cotton Bowl
--Miami (offense turned the ball over 5 times to #1 squad and kept them under 30)
--Back-to-back performances vs. ranked Arizona State squads in the late 90's
--Baylor 2022 (they turned out to be middling, but at the time, it was a top 10 win)
Any of those, or something else I missed, definitively better than last night's bowl win?
