After seeing BYU dismantle Colorado, it's clear that the CFP committee dropped them way too far after their losses to Kansas and Arizona State. And looking at SMU's embarrassing loss in the 1st round of the CFP, a strong argument can be made that it should have been BYU instead of SMU in the playoff, especially given their head-to-head victory against the Ponies on the road.
They should legitimately end up a top-10 team in the final rankings, but they'll likely end up somewhere around 13-15 jumping up just 2 or 3 spots from their current ranking.
As everyone now knows SEC and B10 bias is real.
