By my estimate BYU still has between 5 and 11 scholarships available for the 2025 season (transfer portal targets, high school seniors, offers to current walk-ons).

Below are the different buckets with approximate number of scholarships accounted for:

1. Non-senior scholarship players on current roster: 54
2. Transfer portal: 6
3. Class of 2025: 10
4. Whiteshirts: 2-7 (some return in the summer and could grayshirt)
5. Extra year due to playing at a JC: 2-3
