1. I think this series was meant for 12 year olds. There are plot holes the size of Betelgeuse in every single one of them. The dialogue is terrible in several scenes but we love them because we saw them when we were twelve.
2. I wish Disney had a plan with 7, 8, and 9. Even my 12 year old had whiplash. ("'Wait I thought Palpatine was dead!' 'Yes but in the expanded universe it talks about how he cloned himself'").
3. I know there are a lot of Episode 8 truthers out there, but I will never forgive Rian Johnson for depriving us of a last Luke Skywalker lightsaber battle. I hate how he was emasculated, and how we meet a very different Luke than the one from Episode 6.
4. We need some modern, good storytelling. Andor and Rogue One cracked the nut. I'm totally okay with a trilogy, but make it a compelling story. Give it good writing, and leave the quirky dialogue behind. Act as if the audience is smart enough to figure out what is happening, and heck, if we aren't, we scour the internets looking for answers as to what we just saw. I'd love a well written Darth Plagueis story. Heck, I'd love a well written anything-Star Wars story.
Pump out the content. Keep it up. Just invest in writers who are fans of Star Wars, and are talented.
