Weird was McBride going into Leia & entirely flipping the recruiting script
in a matter of 5-6 years.
BYU really needed to admit we made mistakes. Assuming players & families are yours to lose is NOT a winning formula for anyone, long term.
Plainly put: we got outworked. And then we started making excuses rather than roll up our sleeves & prove our love — like McBride did. Not a good look. The "You want your kid at BYU, don't you?" — ultimately, that approach really cost us.
