That would be way too much for the significance of the play. Think about it you’re basically tackling them for a loss
Maybe of just one yard or less you don’t even gain possession of the football. You’re just tackling them for a loss in the end zone.
It would be ridiculous to award the points for having the ball in the end zone
On top of that, you get the ball back. It’s really a devastating enough play for the offense to lose a yard in the end zone & lose two points and the ball.
