He wasn’t soft. He was simply undersized.
He had the strength and aggression, but he lacked the requisite leverage to play on the NFL. He was listed 6’, but was shorter than that. He was All-State in TX, and started on a state championship team, but had extremely limited collegiate offers due to his size.
