Ugh, that’s awful. I actually got a side effect from doing something similar,
Only it was the DR that told me to mix the two medicines 😬
Thankfully in my case it wasn’t permanent

I had this happen this past spring. Ringing is still there, so likely permanent now. FIL also had same thing.
