Before you change the starter (which it very well could be), pull the battery terminals and inspect them.
I had a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was corroding and eating the wires away from under the installation. So tap the terminal ends against some metal and see if any flakes came out. I had to cut out about 6" on the negative terminal and resplice. My starting issues went away.

It was an easy and cheap fix. Too bad I did the starter first. 🙂
