Yesterday found 8’ of blistered paint full of water, wet carpet in our MBR
during a driving rainstorm. Checked roof, checked gutters, checked adjacent window, no evident issues.

Then it struck me it might be a pressure side water leak in the attic. Turned off all water in the house and checked water meter, VERY slight flow….

Up in the attic found a copper pipe with a pinhole leak spraying onto the top of the interior wall. For now it’s got an old inner tube with a hose clamp over it stopping the leak.

My next few days will be sheetrock removal, replacement, taping, texture and paint.

The pinhole wasn’t at a joint, it was in the field, now I worry about the other hundreds of feet of pipe I can’t get to.
