then we make a wrapping paper barrier from one wall to another…at the top of the stairs. They get to break through the barrier at 6:30 am. This works great because nobody comes down earlier than we want and they are all stuck upstairs while we set up Christmas.

we usually send them up at 8, and we start setting up right away.
