My house was built in 1994...I believe the garage has fink trusses in it, which
are designed to only carry weight on the top for the roof. I'm running out of room and would like to add some attic storage. Has anyone found a system (other then shelving--I've got plenty of that already) that won't add any stress to the trusses and I can add some weight somehow? I've thought about building something up from the walls and then crosses between the trusses but isn't connected to them at all. Some sort of cross beam or something. I figure if someone was able to engineer brackets that can hang weight on on sheetrock, then there has to be a system that works with fink trusses. Any ideas?

If I could just get something like this to work:
