Connection wise my current solution works but I’m trying to minimize cables. Here’s what I have right now:
Current Setup
1. Golf simulator (GC3) connects to laptop via usb-c. Note - I’ve tried bluetooth, Wi-Fi and it’s inconsistent with the GC3. Only thing that works is a direct connection to the laptop with a usb-c.
2. Laptop connects to the projector with an HDMI. This works great just need to hide the cable in the ceiling.
3. TV as a second monitor mounted on the wall that connects to the lap via an HDMI splitter.
Current Challenge
1. Limited on the length of a usb-c. I don’t know what the exact usb-c limits are but anything beyond 10’ limits/fails to transfer the data needed to project on the screen. Today, I have the direct connection going from the simulator to the laptop but not sure I can run it through the wall.
2. Where to place the laptop given the usb-c limitation. I can mount it to the wall nearest the GC3 but ideally it’s farther away in a closet. I’ve read about sunshine and moonlight as options to remote control a pc from a different room. Don’t know much about that but hoping cougarboard has some ideas.
Thanks in advance!
