To early to make conclusions, but I wouldn't mind adjusting the seeding rules to
simply say conference champions (all 5) can't be seeded lower than #8. Meaning a conference champion would EITHER get a bye or a home game in the 1st round. Allows higher ranked runners up like Texas and Penn St. to get seeded more accurately while still providing a reward (won't have to play a road game) to conference champions.
