Eh, it’s a matter of preference. There’s basically zero acting involved in the

broadway recording of the Les Mis cast. The amount of emotion Hathaway and Jackman pour into I dreamed a dream and Val Jean’s soliloquy while maintaining such a high level of singing is incredible. To be fair, Crow is that pretty awful/flat. Also, Jackman’s Bring Him Home is rough but I’ve grown to appreciate

Also, maybe an unpopular opinion, but I saw it in London and was pretty underwhelmed

The movie tracks were recorded as they actually acted, not in a studio in perfect conditions like the broadway tracks.
