my son got sick a couple of weeks ago, we went to urgent care for an eye infection, they checked his ears, said that they were clear, had me take him to a follow up with his pediatrician a few days later. The pediatrician said one ear was "a little bit" infected, but she thought that it would clear on it's own.

Last week, he had a crazy cold, and was tugging at his ears, running a high fever, pediatrician is out of town so we went back to he urgent care, they said his ears were clear and he was just struggling with the cold virus. Last night he was up screaming and writhing around until we gave him some tylenol. A fever kicked in this afternoon. I have an otoscope and I used it to take a picture, and I THINK it's infected, but I'm not a doctor. I'm trying to decide if I need to try and get him back in to see his doctor, or the urgent care... He's miserable but I'm afraid that they'll just tell me that it looks fine. If it's not I would like to be able to tell them that's it is not clear, and to look again.
