I have to thank the 2022 and 2023 BYU teams for teaching me this valuable lesson:

If you go on a road trip, make sure the trip is fun and enjoyable before anything football related begins. Following this approach, I still managed to enjoy road trips that involved some of the worst, most disappointing football games of my lifetime.

But when it comes to our genius idea to drive seven hours each way to watch BYU completely lay an egg against Oregon? I don’t think that kind of road trip is going to be repeated for the remainder of my life.
