The far simpler and more logical explanation for the outcomes of these three games is that the teams that didn’t have home field advantage were just clearly worse than the teams that handily won the games. After all, they were given home field advantage for a reason.
But no. Some people reject the obvious because they don’t want to accept the conclusion that the teams they hate (ND and the top of the SEC/B1G) are just better.
