3rd down defense

In 2023 we gave up 44.59% 3rd down conversion percentage. In 2024 we gave up 42.58% 3rd down conversion percentage. That’s the equivalent of stopping between 3-5 more 3rd downs in the entire season… so not a huge difference. Both were in the bottom 50 in the country

It goes even farther, in 2022 and 2021 we were bottom 50 in the country as well.

Anyone have more insight into why we’re so dreadful at 3rd downs defense?
