teams with 3 losses already proved that they aren’t the best team. teams with 1 loss with a bad but still P4 schedule deserve a shot even if they aren’t actually the best, or would lose a hypothetical game that doesn’t exist.

if you can’t even finish in the top 25% of you’re conference you shouldn’t be allowed to play for the national championship. no conference is that good when there’s only a 12 team playoff.
