We went to our daughter's game last night and one family was giving it to the refs. Why do people do that? Do they not know how annoying it is? I mean it was a freshman girls game of all things.

Unfortunately I lost my temper a little bit and mocked them and they lashed out at me. I tried to de-escalate things, but my wife got involved and it was way too much.

The good news is that the school called me today and told me they will be banned (not sure what that is going to do as it was an away game and high schools have no way of policing it, but at least they should understand what they did was wrong).

Next time I will do the better thing by holding my tongue, but parents teach your kids not to be like this family! The best refs make mistakes and some aren't close to being the best, but yelling at them isn't helping anyone.
