that could shoot the lights out. Our center was a 6'4" athlete that even he could shoot. But of course we played old school offense with guys in the post and constantly passed around and worked the ball to get it inside to our 6'3"/6'4" posts in the paint and to "get a good shot".
We constantly scored games in the 40s and had no shot clock. We could only shoot a 3 pointer if the pass came from inside out and "in rhythm". The 3 point line was also the close HS line that was only 19'9".
Knowing what we know now it kills me we didn't just fly up and down the court and let 3 pointers fly like crazy. Just shooting in an open gym I could easily make 20 3's in a row, as could several of my teammates (but yes shooting in a game is a very different story).
