I looked at this earlier and college football should beat the NFL ratings wise this weekend
If they don’t, then the NFL is king and nothing matters.

Last year’s game at this Saturday slot was Steelers-Bengals on NBC. It got 14m viewers. There was also Bills-Chargers but that was stuck on Peacock as a test.



It’s hard to know what to compare these first round games to. There should be extra interest this year because it’s the first time.

The closest thing I can compare it to is last year’s semifinals. Washington-Texas got nearly 19m viewers. (Alabama-Michigan got 28m, but that feels like a special circumstance).

So you could say it’s not a semi-final, so it may get fewer viewers, but it’s also new so that should help. Either way, I think they should beat the NFl games.

But maybe not!
