First, he is just a tremendous kid--natural leader, smart, driven.
With his height, speed and arm-strength, BYU will easily hang 15 pounds on him and he will have a D-1 body. As I said, his leadership and other intangibles are off the charts.
He is on the basketball team for Bountiful and so he will not graduate early and go to BYU in January. A-Rod supports that decision. He owes that to his teammates.
He is definitely a mission kid--he was always planning on leaving on June right after graduation but there are discussions now about whether he should leave next January after this next season.
BYU was his dream school and I could not be happier for him. I think he's the kind of player that could end up surprising a lot of schools that passed on him.
