bargaining or other agreement similar to pro leagues. After all, we're paying them now. IMO, it's the lack of some sort of bargaining agreement that will be the bigger problem moving forward.

That said, for me it takes some of the pure fun out of college athletics. Now I pretty much just follow game day, what goes on in-season, and coaching. And if one graduates from BYU and goes on, I remain interested in their pro career. If somebody played at BYU, but transferred out, I don't care or follow them.

Sorta like when a few years ago it became clear that many kids' recruiting commitments were more about stupid hat ceremonies and watching grown men fawn over a high school kid than a legit commitment to my alma mater. I pretty much quit following recruiting that closely, just wasn't worth my time or frustration.

Now, just a little aside here, which blows my entire post out of the water. The AJ Dybantsa commit was super fun. And we don't get him without NIL.
