Looking at Bart Torvik's T-rankology (which is far from perfect, but should be
a fairly good general gauge of where teams are from a bracketology perspective, it has:
SEC with 13 teams in the tourney
Big Ten w/ 11 teams
Big 12 w/ 9 teams
ACC w/ 4 teams
Big East w/ 3 teams
WCC and MWC w/ 2 teams.
Obviously those numbers will likely change as the season progresses, but it's insane that the SEC is currently "projected" to get 13 of their 16 teams into the tourney right now (according to Torvik) with 1 team (Vanderbilt) in the "first 4 out".
