My (likely unpopular) proposal to fix the NBA - follow the soccer model
1) Cut the season down to 58 games
2) Play each team twice (1 home, 1 away)
3) 3 points for winning, 1 for a tie, 0 for losing
4) The champion is whichever team is at the top of the ladder at the end
5) Partner with EuroLeague, Liga ACB (Spain), BSL (Turkey), and VTB (Russia) to make a "Champions League" World Tournament (top 4 teams in each league compete)
Make each game matter. Less load management. The regular season matters a lot more, but you can still have an interesting post-season tournament on a global stage.
