This is pretty much the same thing dental offices do.
Estimated charge based off what they expect insurance to pay that you pay at time of services.
Also lowers overhead as trying to chase insurance companies to pay for services rendered isn’t easy. In a perfect business world Insurance should be between the consumer and the insurer, not between the provider and the insurer.
