Rather than going to a CPA, you can find a EA who has passed a test in Tax
and will be much less expensive than a CPA.

As for the software, if you have a basic return, not a bad deal.

If you have a business, write offs, etc. An EA will be much better for you and help make sure you stay away from things that would cause you to get audited and also help you in case you do.

Example Home Office is almost one of the biggest triggers for a audit. Way too many people were using that writing stuff off that wasn't what it was really to be used for.
